What's holding you back?

No structured IT handover process

Without a dedicated IT commissioning process, problems are only discovered after the building is occupied — when fixing them is more disruptive and expensive.

Contractors not coordinated

IT infrastructure involves multiple contractors: structured cabling, AV, access control, IPTV, network and telephony. Without one party coordinating them, gaps appear at the interfaces.

Opening delayed by IT failures

A hotel, office or commercial property that opens with non-functioning Wi-Fi, broken IPTV or unreliable network access suffers immediate reputational and commercial damage.

End-to-end IT commissioning management

Pre-Handover IT Audit

Physical inspection and testing of all installed IT infrastructure against the design intent before the building is handed over.

Systems Commissioning

Powering up, configuring and testing all active IT systems — network switches, Wi-Fi access points, IPTV headends, telephony and AV.

Contractor Coordination

Acting as the single point of contact for all IT-related contractors, resolving clashes and ensuring works are completed to programme.

Handover Documentation

Complete IT handover pack including as-built drawings, system credentials, warranties, maintenance schedules and training records.

Structured commissioning from first fix to handover

01

Pre-Construction IT Review

We review the design intent, identify gaps and establish the commissioning programme — aligned with the overall construction programme.

02

Active Commissioning

We attend site to power up, configure and test all IT systems as they're completed — identifying issues while they're still easy to fix.

03

Snagging & Resolution

We produce and manage the IT snagging list, tracking all outstanding items through to completion before handover.

04

Formal IT Handover

We compile the complete IT handover pack and formally sign off the IT systems with the client — documented and ready for day-one operation.

One point of accountability for all IT contractors

Single point of accountability for all IT contractors

One team responsible for the outcome — not multiple contractors pointing fingers at each other.

Issues identified before occupation, not after

Our systematic testing approach catches problems while they're still cheap to fix.

Structured handover documentation

A complete, organised handover pack your FM team can actually use from day one.

Reduced snagging period

Proactive commissioning during the build means fewer items on the final snag list.

Day-one operational confidence

Your building opens with IT systems that work — tested, signed off and documented.

Works alongside project managers and main contractors

We integrate with your existing project team rather than adding complexity.

Common questions about IT commissioning

Ideally, IT commissioning should be planned at the same time as the M&E design — typically RIBA Stage 2 or 3. The earlier we're involved, the easier it is to ensure duct routes, comms room locations and power provision are correct. Engaging at practical completion is possible but more expensive.

We commission IT infrastructure for hotels, offices, residential developments, mixed-use schemes, retail fit-outs and educational buildings. Any project where IT infrastructure is being installed as part of a construction programme.

Both. We work with clients who want independent assurance that their IT systems are delivered correctly, and with main contractors who need a specialist IT commissioning manager to coordinate subcontractors and manage the IT programme.
